Account Information

  • Name, email address, and password (hashed)
  • Account creation date and terms acceptance

Child Information (Provided by Parents)

  • First name and gender
  • Birth date, birth time, and birth place
  • Geographic coordinates and timezone (derived from birth place)

Generated Content

  • Astrological chart data (calculated from birth details)
  • AI-generated reports

Usage Information

  • API usage metrics (token counts, cost tracking)
  • Report generation and sharing activity

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate personalized developmental insight reports
  • To authenticate and manage your account
  • To enable report sharing features
  • To monitor service usage and enforce tier limits
  • To communicate important service updates

3. Third-Party Data Processing

To provide the Service, certain data is processed by third-party services. Specifically, birth details (date, time, and location) are sent to external services for astrological chart computation, and formatted chart data is processed by an AI provider to generate reports. We also use a third-party email provider for transactional notifications.

We carefully select service providers and only share the minimum data necessary to deliver the Service. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. COPPA Compliance

Know Your Child is an adult-directed service. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13. All information about children is provided by their parents or legal guardians. Only a child’s first name, gender, and birth details are collected — no contact information, photos, or other identifying data is gathered from or about children beyond what parents voluntarily provide.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Active accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Archiving: You may archive child profiles at any time from your dashboard.
  • Account deletion: To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at [email protected].
  • Shared reports: If you have shared reports, those links will stop working when the associated child profile is deleted.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Selling

We do not sell your personal information or your children’s data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or through the Service. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
